ClaimFighter ("ClaimFighter," "we," "our," or "us") provides tools that help YouTube creators and channel owners track, manage, and analyze copyright claims, disputes, appeals, and related revenue information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how information obtained through Google and YouTube APIs is handled, when information may be shared, and the choices available to users.

By using ClaimFighter, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information that you provide directly to ClaimFighter, including:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Account information
  • Organization or business information
  • Subscription and billing status
  • Support communications
  • Information submitted while creating or managing copyright claim cases

We may also collect technical information associated with your use of ClaimFighter, such as IP address, browser information, device information, timestamps, application logs, and security-related information.

2. Google Account and YouTube Data

ClaimFighter allows users to connect their Google account and YouTube channel through Google's OAuth 2.0 authorization process.

ClaimFighter only requests access to Google and YouTube data that is necessary to provide the features selected by the user.

Google Account Information

We may access basic Google account information including:

  • Google account identifier
  • Name
  • Email address
  • Profile information

This information is used to identify your ClaimFighter account and associate your connected YouTube channel with the correct user.

YouTube Channel Information

ClaimFighter may access YouTube channel information including:

  • Channel ID
  • Channel name
  • Channel metadata
  • Channel statistics
  • Subscriber information where available through the YouTube API
  • Videos associated with the authorized channel
  • Video titles
  • Video IDs
  • Video metadata
  • Video statistics such as views and engagement metrics where available

ClaimFighter uses this information to display your YouTube content inside the application and associate copyright-related cases with the correct videos.

YouTube Analytics and Revenue Information

When authorized by the user, ClaimFighter may access YouTube Analytics information, including monetary or revenue-related analytics available through authorized YouTube Analytics API scopes.

This may include:

  • Estimated revenue
  • Video-level revenue information
  • Revenue metrics for selected reporting periods
  • Other analytics necessary to measure the financial impact of a copyright claim

ClaimFighter uses this information to calculate and display revenue associated with affected videos and to help determine revenue recovered after a copyright claim is released or resolved.

ClaimFighter does not use YouTube revenue information for advertising, credit decisions, unrelated profiling, or sale to third parties.

3. Google API Permissions Used by ClaimFighter

ClaimFighter may request permissions including:

  • openid
  • userinfo.email
  • userinfo.profile
  • youtube.readonly
  • yt-analytics-monetary.readonly

These permissions are used only to provide ClaimFighter's user-facing functionality.

Basic account scopes allow us to authenticate users and identify the connected Google account. The youtube.readonly permission allows ClaimFighter to retrieve information about the user's YouTube channel and videos. The yt-analytics-monetary.readonly permission allows ClaimFighter to retrieve authorized YouTube revenue and analytics information required for revenue tracking and recovery calculations.

ClaimFighter does not use these permissions to modify, upload, delete, or publish YouTube content.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Create and manage ClaimFighter accounts
  • Authenticate users
  • Connect authorized YouTube channels
  • Display YouTube videos and channel information
  • Detect and manage copyright claim cases
  • Associate copyright claims with affected YouTube videos
  • Track claim, dispute, appeal, and release dates
  • Calculate estimated financial impact and recovered revenue
  • Provide dashboards and reporting
  • Manage subscriptions and billing
  • Provide technical and customer support
  • Protect ClaimFighter from fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Diagnose technical issues
  • Maintain and improve the reliability of the service
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

Google user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing ClaimFighter functionality.

5. Copyright Claim Email Processing

ClaimFighter may provide users with a unique ClaimFighter email address for forwarding copyright-related notifications received from YouTube.

When a user forwards or routes a YouTube copyright email to ClaimFighter, we may process information contained in that email, including sender and recipient information, email subject, email body, YouTube video URLs, video IDs, video titles, claim information, dispute information, appeal information, claimant information, and relevant dates or case-status information.

This information is used to create, update, and manage copyright claim cases within ClaimFighter.

ClaimFighter may retain the original email or parsed information where necessary to provide case history, auditability, troubleshooting, and claim-management functionality.

6. How We Store Google and YouTube Data

ClaimFighter may store information obtained through Google and YouTube APIs when necessary to provide the service.

This may include Google account identifiers, connected YouTube channel identifiers, channel metadata, video identifiers and metadata, analytics information, revenue-related information, OAuth access and refresh tokens, and timestamps indicating when information was synchronized.

OAuth credentials and other sensitive authentication information are stored using security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access.

Where practical, ClaimFighter retrieves current YouTube data directly from YouTube instead of permanently storing unnecessary copies of that data.

7. OAuth Tokens

When you connect your Google account, Google may provide ClaimFighter with OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens.

These tokens allow ClaimFighter to access only the information covered by permissions you have approved.

ClaimFighter uses these tokens solely to provide the requested integration. We do not sell OAuth tokens, share them with advertisers, or use them for purposes unrelated to ClaimFighter.

8. Sharing of Information

ClaimFighter does not sell Google user data or YouTube user data.

We do not transfer Google user data to advertising networks, data brokers, or information resellers.

Information may be shared only when reasonably necessary to operate ClaimFighter, including with providers supporting cloud infrastructure, database hosting, email processing, application monitoring, authentication, billing, payment processing, security, and customer support.

We may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, regulation, or a valid governmental request, or when necessary to protect ClaimFighter, our users, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or illegal activity.

9. Advertising and Sale of Data

ClaimFighter does not use Google or YouTube user data for targeted advertising, personalized advertising, retargeting, interest-based advertising, selling user information, selling information to data brokers, determining creditworthiness, or lending decisions.

ClaimFighter does not sell personal information obtained through Google APIs.

10. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

ClaimFighter does not use Google or YouTube user data obtained through Google APIs to train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Google user data is used only for functionality associated with providing the ClaimFighter service to the authorized user.

11. Google API Services User Data Policy

ClaimFighter's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

12. YouTube Terms and Privacy Policies

ClaimFighter uses YouTube API Services.

By connecting a YouTube account to ClaimFighter, users are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.

13. Revoking Google and YouTube Access

You may revoke ClaimFighter's access to your Google account at any time.

Revoking access prevents ClaimFighter from making future requests to Google or YouTube APIs using your authorization.

14. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide ClaimFighter services, maintain claim and case history, calculate revenue-related information, meet contractual obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and meet legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements.

When information is no longer required, we may delete or anonymize it.

15. Account and Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their ClaimFighter account and associated personal information.

A deletion request may include removal of account information, connected Google account information, stored OAuth credentials, connected YouTube channel information, stored video metadata, claim and case information, and other information associated with the account, subject to applicable legal or contractual retention obligations.

16. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, unauthorized disclosure, alteration, loss, destruction, and misuse.

These safeguards may include encrypted communications, restricted infrastructure access, secure authentication practices, protected credentials, logging, and access controls.

17. Payment Information

ClaimFighter may use third-party payment providers such as Stripe to process subscription payments.

ClaimFighter does not need to directly store complete payment-card information when payment information is processed by our payment provider.

18. Cookies and Similar Technologies

ClaimFighter may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, maintaining user sessions, security, remembering user preferences, application functionality, and performance monitoring.

We do not use Google or YouTube API data to create advertising profiles.

19. International Data Processing

ClaimFighter and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country in which you reside.

Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure that information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.

20. Children's Privacy

ClaimFighter is intended for business users, creators, and channel owners and is not intended for children under the age at which parental consent is required under applicable law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for whom parental consent would legally be required.

21. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to ClaimFighter, our integrations, legal requirements, or our information-handling practices.

When the policy is updated, the Last Updated date at the top of this page will also be updated.
